You, Me, Money & High Tea

$200.00

A Sunday afternoon for mums and their teenage daughters, to connect and learn about money over high tea.

You've worked out most of the things nobody ever taught you, and money was probably one of them. Meanwhile there's a young woman in your house, aged 15 to 18, earning her own money and making her first real money decisions. She’s learned how it's done largely by watching you. This is an afternoon to change what gets handed down. Not the money, the confidence. You'll each learn in your own room, your daughter with facilitators close to her own age and you with a room of women in the same boat, then come back together over high tea for a facilitated money conversation most families never have. You'll both leave with a lovely afternoon behind you, she’ll have real knowledge about payslips, awards, tax and superannuation and you’ll have opened a healthy money conversation with her.

Hosted by me (Annette Rose), I’m the founder of Women Get Money and Kids Get Money, my work has featured on Today and in the Sydney Morning Herald, but my real qualification is lived experience: I know what money stress does to a family because I lived it as a child and bought it into my own home. After 20 years working senior jobs in the finance industry and on the brink of bankruptcy I did serious mindset work to heal myself and my family. I'll be joined by my own daughters, who lived the hard years and the turnaround.

You don't need to know a thing about money to come, and you certainly don't need to have your own perfectly sorted. All daughters and gender-diverse teens are warmly welcome.
